Difference between Dark Green Fritillary Butterflies vs
Silver Washed Fritillary Butterflies would be easy to notice
in looking at pictures or videos that shows the under side
of the butterflies wings. The silver-washed fritillary
butterflies green with a bit of silver streaks instead of
spots on the under side of the butterfly. Silver-Washed
Fritillary Butterflies wings on top are deep orange black
spots.

silver-washed fritillary is said to be small and more pale
in color than the female silver-washed fritillaries are.
Information about the silver washed fritillaries found in
europe is below to tell a bit more about swedish butterflies
called the Silver-Washed Fritillary.
The silver-washed
fritillary is a european butterfly found in different
countries through out europe. Silver-Washed Fritillaries
were starting to become rare or hard to find around the
1970's & 1980's but it seems the butterflies are making a
come back and now starting to be seen more often. The
european butterflies wingspan is about 54 to 70 mm. The
caterpillar for these butterflies are blackish brown with 2
yellow stripes or lines across the butterflies back side.
The silver washed fritillaries caterpillars also have long
reddish brown color spikes.
These butterflies are
said to be one of the strongest or best at flying than most
of the other fritillaries. When the swedish butterfly got
bored with me and left it did seem to glide away with grace
and speed I would not have expected to see. Grin. It was
more fun for me to see the beautiful butterfly than it could
have been for her to have me film her grin. There we have it
