Being stopped by the police in Sweden is very different than being stopped by the American Cops. This is a true story and article about what some would call American Police Brutality and American Injustice! This is on my page for European history and european cultures with photos and videos of Europe. This page is to show the difference between life in American vs life in Europe. I was living in Texas for about 9 or 10 Very Long Years when I had a run in with Texas Police. Below is true facts and events that took place during the stop by the Texas Cops. In Texas and the usa you really can not do anything but go along with whatever the police and government wish to do to you. Those that think america has a great police and government do not know much about the USA and how life is in America. If you think american courts and the american court systems are fair you do not know much about america. Maybe you should visit the usa to learn but, wear a bullet proof vest and Kevlar Suit grin. |

I myself can say that a traffic stop in Sweden is very different than a traffic stop in Texas. If you are stopped for a minor violation in Sweden the Swedish Police do not even touch you. They simply can give you a breathing test and talk to you then let you go if you have done nothing wrong and are not drunk or drinking ect. If you are speeding much over the speed limit in Sweden you could get a ticket or even lose you license to drive but they do not beat you up ect. In Sweden if you are not breaking the law they do not take you to jail and lock you up. The Swedish police do not beat you up and they are really there to protect you and keep people safe ect! If you are speeding or do I as did by mistake in Texas and make a u turn where your not supposed to turn around it could result in being locked up in a hick texas jail for days and not being allowed to use the phone to call for help for as long as they wish to keep you there. Below is true it happened to me and that was one of the reasons I was stuck in Texas 2 years more than I should have been. I was given probation since I could not prove I was innocent yet, they did not prove I was guilty. I did nothing wrong but a simple turn around of the car in an area I was not supposed to turn around at. In Sweden If you are not drunk or have not been drinking they can not and do not charge you with a dwi or dui in europe. If their breathing machines are not working and does not show one way or the other the european police will get another one that works to test you fairly. In Texas many people have been charged with dui's that were not even drinking due to the fact that the breathing tests were not showing either way. *I know this as a fact and first hand* When you breath in a broken machine it seems to not show you drunk or sober. It seems a broken machine does not show you were breathing hard enough for it to register one way or the other. If the machine does not work in the usa they then count that as you refusing to take the test even if you ask for a blood test or beg for another machine that works. I was taken to the police station in Texas to take the breathing test since they do not do breath tests road side. This means also it is expensive since your car is towed and fees to get it out are not cheap even if you did nothing wrong and such like I. Then you have to consider the ride to the impound lot to pick up your car that they charge by day for ect. To pay for a ride there by taxi and all is not cheap too of course. However I was not even that lucky to just have it cost a few hundred dollars and time. My car was searched then towed and there was not one reason for it. There was nothing in my car but skates and books and printed flyers with stuff for work. I had not been drinking and had just got off from working very long hours. In the usa I worked more like 12 plus hours a day alot! If you beg the texas cops to have them let you breath in the machine until it at least shows something they do not have to let you. I think when the machine does not move and you are breathing hard as you can it is sure broken. They said later it was broken. In court if you have taken the test and it did not show one way or the other due to the equipment being broken they list that as you refused to take the test. Even if you wanted to take it and did they call it a refusal if the machine is broken. Of course that makes you by default guilty even if you had nothing to drink for months prior to the test ect. |

I am not a big person and I am one of the most non violent people you could meet yet I had about 8 cops pushing knees in me and holding my head down while some were pushing my head into the concrete because I called them Inbreeding american cops. The only reason I called them that was due to the fact they put handcuffs on my wrists so tight it hurt my damaged arm to the point it was very swollen for weeks after. They did this because I was pulled over for being out late and doing a U Turn where there it was not legal to do so. I did not see the signs since there were not signs in that area telling me this. I was on my way home from a very long day at work.
I was tired and angry when the american cops asked me to get out of the car and do the road side test. They do not have that kind of road side tests in Sweden of course. Anyway, I passed it all and did the silly stand on one foot and balance act and retarded stuff. Then when it got to the point that I was to walk the straight line I messed up. The only way I messed up is by walking it just after the officer told me to. He told me what foot to start with and where to walk from and to. I did it perfectly I though but, I guess not. The 1 and only thing I did wrong was to start walking it after he told me. I looked at him and said ok then walked it. About half way thru he runs and grabs my arm then starts shaking me. He was yelling that I did not follow instructions well because I started before he said Go. I told him I was doing what he said and he then told me not to get smart with him. He then kept hold of my arm tighter and tighter as he drug me over by the police car to cuff me. I told him that the hand cuffs were hurting my wrists and that I had nerve damage on my right arm. He even saw the huge scars and laughed as he was saying oh does this hurt. Each time he would laugh he tightened it more and as much as it could. My hands and arms were swelling and it was painful so, I did call him a Texas Inbreeding cop and told him to stop hurting my bad arm. *I have an arm that was injured and cut to the bone which was said to be unable to use yet, with hard work and luck my arm works and the nerves and everything did heal enough to work almost as a normal arm.* It seems in telling him I had a hurt arm the focus became more on him tightening cuffs and pulling on my bad arm.
After using the words Texas Inbreeding cops the Texas cop got angry and took me in to the station where he told the other cops that I called them Inbreeding cops. That is why there were so many cops trying to beat me up or rough me up. They put me in a face mask and strapped me down to a chair were I remained that way for the night and day. I was then let out of it and after another day I was let to use the phone to call and get myself bailed out. It was a long couple of days and of course my arms and hands were bruised and swollen for awhile after. Sadly in going to the lawyers office it seems an x cop ended up with my case. I paid a bit over 1,000.00 to fight the case that was drug on for almost a year before the jury saw me. Each time we went to court it seemed the officer was not able to attend so they kept resetting my court case. Finally in court I felt I could be heard. I was so wrong.
When the lawyer for the state or district court lawyer was there he made sure that they put it as I refused to take the breathing test. That was not true. I took it and it did not show up one way or the other. They also started it off by asking me why I hated americans and Texans. Of course that entire case seemed more of them talking of why I hate americans so, of course it had nothing to do with dwi or dui talking. As you can guess they picked me as guilty. I did of course cuss in a non English language and that was shown to the jury yet nothing before was.
Cops in the usa have live cameras to record in the police cars. These are said to be auto recording once lights on the car are on but, seems this cop said he had to turn it on to make it work. When I told my lawyer to please ask about where the rest of the tape was he did. The cops said the first part of the tape was not there because they forgot to turn it on. They did not turn it on period and that I am pretty darn sure of! That would mean they had it already on when the cop was messing with me. I wish that footage could have been found and shown in court for that would show the truth.
Anyway when american have heard of this they say I should not have been drinking and driving. I do not know how they think I was drinking when I was not. They seem to go with what the jury said yet, most americans can not read much or understand it I think. Then some know enough to read and see what really happened. Not all americans are stupid and sheep but, most of them as bush did show seem to follow the flock. As to the americans that have said to me in the past if I dont like the usa why not leave... Well if you have probation for something you can not even leave that bloody state for that duration. Believe me I tried to ask if probation could be changed to even just another state but it was a no. I never had been charged with a dwi or anything of it before. That of course being on my record made many things hard for me in ways. That is my article on what happened to me with cops in america and how they are different than Police Officers in Europe. The blood alcohol content for being drunk while driving is way less tolerant in Sweden so of course there are way less people out drinking and driving. I really don't think it is common here at all. I think in the states they need to make it fair and at the same time make the blood alcohol content way less than it is there. If I was pulled over in Sweden by Police I would have got a ticket to pay and they would have given me a working breath test then let me go home.
